Purpose

  • Fullerton Head of Engineering (F-HoE) holds the utmost accountable job of Engineering activities in AEC Fullerton.
  • F-HoE is managing the overall Engineering activities in AEC Fullerton entity, wether they are related to:
    • Technical proposals for Partners/Customers
    • Development & any technical project performed under AEC Fullerton responsibility
    • Certification activities
    • Technical support to Airworthiness monitoring for any product under AEC Fullerton responsibility
    • Technical support to manufacturing & Customers support activities
  • F-HoE holds explicit delegation from AEC Head of Engineering for any additional topic not listed in Fullerton scope of responsibility. In that case, delegation shall be explicit & dedicated to each topic.
  • F-HoE is placed under AEC Fullerton Accountable manager responsibility.
  • F-HoE reports to AEC Head of Engineering for the mentioned activities.

Responsibilities

F-HoE is responsible for

  • Technical relevance, Quality, schedule and costs for all Fullerton technical projects, either at bid or development stage.
  • Assessing all certification data, hold under AEC Fullerton legal entity.
  • Managing Fullerton Technical Skills & Competences, regarding to scope of activity.
  • Managing Processes linked with Engineering activities, in order to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory & normative standards.
  • Interaction with shared services to execute orders, technical reviews, customer actions and identify new opportunities of business.

Main Competences and Skills

  • Certification basis
  • Avionics development along main « Dos » - DO254, DO 160; ARP 4754 A
  • Antennas Physics and Development (CST, HFSS, Feko, AWR Microwave Office, ADS)
  • Team & Project Leadership

Requested Experience

  • Strong technical background (Master of Engineering, Degree in RF/Antenna/Microwave Engineering or Applied Electromagnetics preferred) with more than 5 years of experience in Aeronautic R&D activities
  • Succefull aeronautic development experience, esp. For Antennas:
    • Antenna research and design experience from VHF to Ku-Band frequencies
    • Indoor and outdoor antenna test range expertise (including anechoic chamber)
    • RF circuit design, test and development at the board level
    • Antenna and RF circuit experience in a large-scale production environment to include troubleshooting the production line, designing for production, and managing the selection of vendors to support large-scale production
  • Successful Certification experience with FAA
